Greet Saturday morning by offering water to the Pipal tree. Doing this will cleanse your soul, and remembering Shani Maharaj will please the Shani Lord too.
Once again, I would like to remind you that, pleasing this Lord of justice, truth and purity is difficult but not impossible.
Keeping the above aspect in mind, avoid buying black coloured things/ clothes on Saturday and also do not purchase leather items on Saturday. Instead you can donate black cloth/ leather items on a Saturday.
Also, remember to donate Sesame/ til oil or Mustard/ sarson oil on this day. In places like Delhi, you will find children as well as older people, carrying metal tumblers, in which there is mustard / til oil, and you are supposed to donate some coins into it. Otherwise you can go and light a lamp with this oil in any Shani/ Saturn temple or a Navagraha temple. it is best to light a lamp or pour oil on the branches of a Pipal tree, before sunrise.
Taking care of the poor or donating urad dal is also done by the worshipper of shani bhagwan.
