Humans are complex creatures, hence the above title. We all agree that our mind is in constant flux, just like the flow of water- it springs memories and ideas back and forth like the waves of a sea. Things which seem irrational, inconsequential or down right ridiculous, too are present in this world, all because of certain laws of nature. It is not necessary, that we as humans, are capable of understanding everything around us. It has erroneously been assumed by Western notions of knowledge and Philosophy, that what is unexplainable is irrational, hence not worthy of being included in the realm of knowledge. René Descartes, Baruch Spinoza, Gottfried Leibniz would surely disagree with me, but I stick to my point that everything is not always explainable or understandable by 'every' individual. You need to reach that state or stage of 'awareness' where you can perceive something in its entirety. In Indian philosophy or more specifically Hindu way of thinking, it is assumed that a seeker ( saadhak) will have a Guru/ teacher to guide him on this path of seeking THE knowledge.
The modern day guru- the internet- has been quite useful for the layman to understand or comprehend some such nuances of life, behaviour, the notion of an almighty- presence, energy- good and bad, etc.
Hence, when I see around me human-beings, who are behaving in very unpredictable ways, I don't feel surprised because this very odd and unpredictable behaviour of theirs is because they are out of sync, with their micro and macro ecosystems. I include astrological planetary positions in one's ecosystem, simply because planets are there, we are there, the earth is there, wind/ fire/ rain is there......so what is there (present) will have an effect on the other. Similarly, the notion of life and after-life or rather birth and previous births. I believe once again, that our actions in this birth are affected by our actions of previous births, and these (present acts) will in turn affect our next birth or stage in the cycle of births and rebirths, or ultimately moksha/ mukti ( liberation of the soul).
Why did I speak such a lot about acts and actions? Precisely to convey the point, that the Navgrahas( Nine Planets) try to help us out in our pursuit for freedom. One such planet is Saturn or as we say Shani Maharaj. As I have mentioned in my earlier blog-posts, pleasing Saturn is a tough task and hence has to be done with full devotion and dedication. Serve the Lord and he will surely bless you.
Jai Shani Maharaj ki!
